After years of developing online strategy games like Spartan Wars and Galaxy Legend, Tap4Fun has long aspired to make a game which features real-time combat sequences. We have finally taken our knowledge and experience and put it towards creating an entirely new game. That game is called Hero’s Path, and it will soon go into an open beta in Google Play Canada.
What is Hero’s Path?
Hero’s Path is the next step in our vision to create ever-more enriching and substantial online strategy games for mobile devices. In Hero’s Path you will not only build and grow your city as you would in other Tap4Fun games, but you will select and cultivate a unique Hero, leading your troops to battlefields across 7 islands and a world filled with players.
The hero that you select will have a dramatic impact on your gameplay style – will you select Olaf the barbarian and assault your opponents head-on? Or will you select Tahoma Hawk and take a more calculated approach? In Hero’s Path, the choice is yours.
In addition to the growth of your city and the development and movement of your hero, you’ll have tons of upgrade options, including each of your units. Hero’s Path was designed to accommodate many different kind of play styles, to provide for strategic depth while still keeping the game fun and approachable.
Another unique feature of Hero’s Path is the art style, which is notably colorful and lighthearted in comparison to our previous games. The three heroes in the beta version of Hero’s Path (Olaf, Ruby and Tahoma) all come from different worlds, but are brought together through a struggle to save the realm of the 7 islands. As you play Hero’s Path, the story and origin of the world and its heroes will emerge.
Details About the Beta
We’re releasing Hero’s Path in Canada first in order to identify any potential problem areas and allow us to further improve the game before the global release. During the beta period, anyone can download the game for free and participate, but please note that this will require a Canadian iTunes account. Once Hero’s Path has exited beta, we will make an announcement before releasing the game globally.
