How Do I Recover a Lost Password?

As our interactions with our gaming community become more frequent, aside from requests for server merges, suggestions for improving our games, and feedback about updates and events, the question most commonly posed on our website, forum, and Facebook pages is: I forgot my password. How do I login to my account?

To reset your password, just click on the 'forgot password?' link on the Tap4Fun homepage and enter your email address. Your password will be reset and a new one will be emailed to you.

Not surprisingly, the answer to this question is quite simple and straightforward. As you see in the screenshot posted to the left, there is a dedicated ‘forgot password?’ link situated in the top right-hand corner of the Tap4Fun homepage, right next to where you can register a new Tap4fun account [click image to enlarge].

Simply visit www.tap4fun.com, click on the ‘forgot password?’ link, and fill in your email address in the space provided. We will automatically reset your password and send an email with a new (randomly generated) password to the address you entered. Once you login to your account, you will be free to change the password to anything you like. Be sure to enter the email address you have linked to the account you are trying to access.

Link Your Account to Facebook or Email — Avoid Losing Everything

We encourage players to link their Facebook account or an email address to their primary Tap4Fun account. This is necessary in situations when a user forgets his/her password or login information. You reset the password, check your email, and simply log back into your game. If you are playing the game using a ‘guest’ account, you will not be able to access your account if you forget your login information and may have to start all over.

In addition, if there is a live email address or Facebook account linked to your account, all of your account information — including ranking, resource and troop count, and alliance information — can be retrieved by our Support team in the case of a lost password, server merge issue, or some other error that affects your account.

      You may need to create a new profile. Once you do, click on your profile pic (top left). Click on the world tab. You should see your old profile and there should be a tab called RETURN. That should take you to your old profile. Happened to me also, took me forever to figure out.

      If you did everything properly, you should have received an e-mail. Perhaps the servers are busy and you may need to wait a little while before receiving the e-mail, or they may also have been sent to your Spam folder. Be sure to check!

If you had not done that, you can try to contact Customer Support to see if they can manually retrieve your account and have it fished out for you!       In this scenario, you should re-make your account and have it typed properly! However, you should have received a verification message of some sorts when creating a profile to your e-mail, this is what verifies that the e-mail is able to be used!

You keep telling people to email thy link, well I have… 10 times, it’s been a month and no reply.       Only Customer Support can help you with account and password issues, as they have access to that type of information. I recommend you try getting in contact with them again using the in-game link to Contact Us. This method will be better, as they will receive a lot of information from your device that may help them solve your issue with your previous account.

      If you prefer, you can just try sending them another e-mail to follow up and hopefully they will reply to you soon. I hope this helps!

I also tried to get my password sent on my mail adress vs.1880r@mail.ru but it was saying that my mail is wrong too, which is imppssible. Im hoping so much that u can help me to get back into my game level.

      You will need to contact Customer Support about this issue, as they are the only ones with the ability to change your account information. Please send them a ticket using the Contact Us link in any of our games. This is the most reliable way to send us information about an issue!

      Please be patient for a response from Customer Support, as it takes some time to process incoming tickets. Perhaps your ticket was not received properly and I recommend sending in another one just in case using the in-game Contact Us link, as it is more reliable to receiving your response!

      Typically they will help this sort of case if you provided enough valid evidence to prove that the account is truly yours. I recommend giving up sorts of proof such as contacting them from the same device that you had the other account on, providing other detailed information about the account, or providing any official receipts of purchases made on that account.

    Hi, I hope someone can help! I tried to log into my main account today and it was as if it was all deleted! (I later discovered that there was a big update, again!), I managed to get my main account back by resetting my password, but I cant seem to recover my secondary account, I’ve tried to click the empty name box under my main name and than enter my character (in game) name and password on the second screen just like I did with the first account but it keeps saying “Player does not exist”! Now how do I recover my secondary character?

      Make sure that whatever you’re logging into, the account is correct, the server is correct, the username is correct. If all of these are good, and you continue to experience problems, then you should try contacting Customer Support about the issue.
